Printed Graphic Wraps & Branding for Rugby World Cup 2015 –

The Rugby World Cup is an incredible sporting event enjoyed by millions around the Globe and the much awaited 2015 tournament was to be hosted by England.

The RFU, England 15 organisers and major sponsor Coca-Cola were looking for high profile tournament Branding solutions. Coca-Cola already sponsored the London Eye, so it was agreed that this iconic London landmark, be utilised as a major Branding Showcase to promote England 15 Rugby World Cup around the Globe.

Each of the 32 capsules would be stripped of the existing Coca-Cola branding and be replaced for the duration of the tournament by unique bespoke branding. The under carriage of each capsule was wrapped with a printed conformable vinyl graphic of each National flag to represent all of the Countries participating in the tournament. We would also print and install a multitude of additional branding

  • Printed Graphic Flooring representing each National colour together with iconic images
  • Vinyl logos for each capsule side window – England 15 Rugby World Cup

The London Eye is the UK’s most successful paid attraction, so it would be impossible to stop operation to install the Rugby World Cup Branding. Following various meeting with the London Eye technical team, a schedule was devised that would allow us access outside of trading hours. Our team of 11 expert installers worked tirelessly from 10pm till 6am every day for 16 days to ensure that the branding graphics were completed in time for the official opening ceremony to mark the start of the tournament. Height work was carried out by Level 3 IRATA qualified professional rope access technicians who worked alongside our highly experienced graphic wrap installers.

After the tournament had finished, we printed and spent a further 2 weeks of night work re-installing all of the general Coca-Cola branding to each capsule.
